Footpaths – Udimore Parish Council

The Parish Council agreed at its meeting in November 2012 to set up a Group of volunteers to help maintain the footpaths within the parish.

This will include a regular survey of all paths, noting where new signs are needed, where paths are becoming overgrown and where stiles, footbridges and gates need repairing or replacing. We hope to achieve this through working parties from among the volunteers.

We will have the support of the East Sussex County Council who have the overall responsibility for all footpaths in the county. Several local parishes have organised similar Groups.

We have an initial core of six volunteers but we would welcome more volunteers so that we can always assemble a working party.

Leonie Wheeler has the responsibility for footpaths within the Parish Council and anyone interested should email her at wheelersflp@gmail.com
